Scholarship and Ideas Expo Admissions Event
April 9, 2025

Join the Dominican University community as we come together for a day of celebration and an exchange of ideas at the annual Scholarship and Ideas (SI) Expo. Classes for Dominican University students are suspended for the day to give them a chance to present their research, scholarship, creative projects, or experiential learning.  

The SI Expo showcases students' best work from a broad range of disciplines in different formats: panels, posters, and oral presentations. Come be a part of this event and be our special guest. Connect with Dominican students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other future Dominican University students. You will have the opportunity to be welcomed by various members of the campus community, experience the SI Expo, and have lunch on campus with faculty, staff, and students.  

*Please note this event involves a lot of walking.

Fashion Lab Tour and Fashion Show

Ever wonder how a fashion show is created? Now's your chance to see behind the scenes of our student-produced runway show. Seniors in Dominican's fashion merchandising and fashion design majors collaborate to produce our Spring Fashion Show, which presents the best student designs to industry professionals. Join us at our fashion lab tour where you'll get a front-row seat to the action and see student collections that range from ready-to-wear pieces to experimental fashion. Bring a guest to experience this special event—limited seats are available!

Prospective students are invited to attend virtual information sessions for Dominican's graduate programs. You'll hear from faculty and staff and learn more about classes, curriculum, and the admission process. Virtual information sessions are held via Zoom. A link will be sent to your email address prior to the session.

Application Workshops

Sign up for a 30-minute time slot during which a graduate recruiter will answer questions on the application process and materials. You’ll have the opportunity to email application materials (resume and personal statement) ahead of time for our recruiter to review. Sessions will be held via Zoom. A link will be sent to your email address prior to the session.

Canvas Workshops

This workshop will demonstrate Canvas, the Dominican University Learning Management System (LMS). During the workshop, a graduate recruiter will show how Canvas is utilized by Dominican faculty and students and will answer questions about the academic program.
